Ceramic Anchovies Wall Decor, Set of 3

We call them alici — anchovies. Each set includes three small ceramic fish, shaped and painted by hand in Vietri sul Mare. They come ready to mount on a wall, and they look best grouped together as if they're swimming in the same direction.

Look closely and you'll see the brushwork on each one is a little different. The bodies are painted in shades of blue and grey with a white belly and a touch of yellow along the side. The eyes are round and bright. The glaze gives them a nice shine that catches the light, almost like a wet fish fresh from the sea.

People hang them in kitchens, bathrooms, entryways — anywhere you want a nod to the Mediterranean. They also work well arranged above a doorframe or scattered along a hallway wall. Some customers buy several sets to create a whole school of fish.

Because these are handmade, the three fish in your set won't be identical to one another or to the ones in the photos. Small differences in size, colour intensity, and brushstroke are part of the process. That's what makes them feel alive rather than factory-made.
