Wall Plate with Fruit on Dark Blue

The Dora is one of our richest wall plates — piatto murale — with a deep, dark cobalt blue background that really makes the fruit colours stand out. In the centre, a generous arrangement of hand-painted fruit fills the plate: yellow lemons, a red apple, golden-orange citrus, a pomegranate cracked open at the top to show its seeds, clusters of purple and blue grapes, and broad autumn leaves in gold and green. White curling tendrils fill the spaces between.

The rim has a thin yellow-gold edge that gives the plate a clean finish. At 30 cm in diameter, it's a substantial wall piece that holds its own in a room. The dark blue background is one of the deepest we offer, which makes the warm yellows, reds, and oranges of the fruit really come forward.

Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare paint every piece of fruit, every leaf, and every small tendril by hand. There's no shortcut — they build up the colours in layers, which is why the fruit has that sense of depth and roundness. You can see each brushstroke if you look closely.

Hang it in the kitchen, the dining room, or anywhere you want a focal point. It pairs well with other plates from our collection for a grouped wall display.
