Handpainted Lemon Mug

A small, sturdy mug — what we'd call a tazza in Italian — painted all over in soft teal green with big yellow lemons and dark green leaves. It's the kind of cup that makes your morning coffee feel like you're sitting on a terrace in Praiano, even if you're nowhere near the Amalfi Coast.

Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare shape each mug by hand and paint the lemons and leaves freehand, so every cup is slightly different. The handle is small and compact, the walls are thick, and the white interior provides a clean contrast to the colourful outside. It holds a good espresso, a cappuccino, or even a small tea.

The teal-green background and lemon motif are classic Amalfi colours — you'll see this combination on tiles, on ceramics, and on tablecloths all along the coast. It's a pattern that never gets old. The glaze is food-safe and holds up well to daily use.
