Ceramic Centrepiece Tray with Fruit Decor

We call this a centrotavola — a centrepiece. It's a small oval tray, about 25 by 16 cm, with two sculpted yellow handles and a deep cobalt blue background. Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare paint each one freehand with a generous still life of lemons, grapes, pears, and apples nestled among green leaves, with white scroll details curling around the composition.

The shape is substantial enough to anchor the middle of a table, but small enough not to take over. The blue is rich and deep, and it makes the yellows and reds of the fruit really pop. The yellow handles have a nice twisted form — they're decorative but also functional if you need to move the piece.

You can use it as a proper centrepiece on a dining table, or as a tray for small items on a dresser or console. Some customers fill it with dried flowers or potpourri. Others just let it sit empty and do its job as decoration. The 25x16 cm size makes it versatile.

Made by hand in Vietri sul Mare as part of our Barocco Collection, which draws on the rich decorative tradition of Southern Italian ceramics. Each piece is individually painted, so slight differences in colour and brushwork are to be expected.
