Scalloped Oval Platter with Lemons

We call this a sperlunga smerlata — an oval serving platter with a scalloped edge. It's part of our Piazzetta Collection, and our artisans in Vietri sul Mare shape the wavy rim by hand before painting the whole piece freehand.
The decoration is a classic Amalfi lemon pattern. Round, golden lemons hang from curling green vines across a deep cobalt blue background, with small white scroll details filling the spaces between the fruit. The centre is framed by a warm yellow band, and the scalloped edge gives the whole platter a softer, more traditional silhouette than a straight-rimmed version.
The shape is generous and elongated, well suited for laying out a whole grilled fish, a line of bruschetta, or a display of fresh fruit. It's flat enough that food sits neatly, but the slight lip around the rim keeps things from sliding off. A lot of our customers also use it as a decorative centrepiece — leaning on a plate stand or mounted on a wall.
Made with food-safe glazes and fired at high temperature. Since every lemon, leaf, and vine is painted by a real person with a real brush, each platter will have its own slight variations.
