Green Baroque Table Lamp

Our barocco verde lamp has a compact, rounded ceramic body with a narrower neck and a flared base — a classic baluster shape that our artisans in Vietri sul Mare have been making for years. The body is glazed in a rich teal green and painted with bold, sweeping acanthus leaf scrolls in golden yellow with dark outlines. The base and neck are banded in yellow with smaller scroll details.

The shade is what makes this lamp feel different from what you usually see. It's a light blue fabric shade, hand-sewn, with a braided trim along the top and bottom edges. The colour picks up the teal-green of the ceramic body and softens it, so the overall effect is warm without being dark. When the lamp is on, the light filters through the fabric and gives off a gentle glow.

It's a good size for a bedside table, a side table in the living room, or on top of a chest of drawers. The ceramic base is heavy enough to be stable, and the proportions are balanced — not too tall, not too wide.

As with all our lamps, the ceramic body is shaped and painted entirely by hand, and the shade is sewn in our workshop. Small differences in colour and brushstroke are normal and expected.
