Handpainted Ceramic Jug with Fruit

We call it a brocca — a classic round-bellied jug that our artisans in Vietri sul Mare shape on the wheel and paint entirely by hand. The body is white ceramic with a wide teal-green band brushed across the rim, handle, and base. In between, you'll see a garland of hand-painted fruit — yellow lemons, a deep red pomegranate, blue grapes — all framed by warm orange stripes.

The handle has a comfortable curve and the spout pours well, so it works just as nicely at the dinner table as it does sitting on a shelf. People use these for water, wine, or even just a bunch of wildflowers. The teal and orange combination is one of the most recognisable colour pairings in Vietri ceramics.

Every detail is painted freehand with food-safe enamels, so the colours hold up well over time. Because each jug is done individually, you'll notice slight differences in the brushwork from piece to piece. That's the nature of handmade work, and honestly it's what makes each one feel personal.
