Lemon Coffee Mug

We call it a tazza in Italian, and this one is a proper coffee mug — the kind you reach for every morning without thinking. Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare shape it on the wheel, glaze it, and paint it entirely freehand. No stencils, no transfers.

The top half has a deep cobalt blue background with plump yellow lemons and green leaves winding around the body. You can see the white curling tendrils painted between the fruit — a detail that takes a steady hand. The bottom section is left white with a yellow band separating the two areas, and the handle is painted in matching cobalt blue right to the tip.

It works for coffee, tea, or whatever you drink in the morning. The handle has a comfortable grip and the mug sits well in your hand. Some customers buy a pair, others pick up a whole set of four or six for the breakfast table.

Every mug is part of our Piazzetta Collection. Because each one is painted by hand, you will notice small differences in brushwork from piece to piece. That is the nature of handmade ceramics — it means a real person made yours.
