Rectangular Serving Plate in Blue and Yellow

Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare make this rectangular plate entirely by hand — shaped, glazed with food-safe enamels, and painted freehand. It measures about 40 cm and has a glossy finish that cleans up easily.

The design splits the plate diagonally into two halves. One side has yellow polka dots scattered across a white background — each dot painted individually, so they are not perfectly uniform. The other side has a bold blue grid pattern, like a hand-drawn check, with the cobalt lines crossing at slightly different angles. The diagonal dividing line gives it a playful, modern look that is quite different from traditional floral ceramics.

We see customers use these for sushi, antipasti, cheese boards, or sliced fruit. The rectangular shape makes it easy to arrange food in a line, and it looks good sitting in the middle of a table. Some people hang them on the wall, too — the flat back and good weight make that straightforward.
