Baroque Floral Tray

In Italian we call it vassoio — a tray. But this one belongs to our Barocco Collection, which means the edges are sculpted with that ornate, wavy baroque profile and the handles are shaped like scrolled brackets in bright yellow. It measures about 45 x 25 cm, a good size for serving or display.

The decoration is a wreath of hand-painted flowers cascading around the white centre — pink and white daisies along the top, yellow and orange blossoms at the bottom, purple pansies tucked in between, all connected by green leaves and fine teal tendrils. The wide border is a deep cobalt blue with delicate white scroll-work. The whole effect is rich and full without being heavy, because the white centre keeps it balanced.

Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare sculpt the tray shape and the baroque handles by hand, then paint every petal, every leaf, every tendril freehand. You can use it to serve pastries, fruit, or cheese — the glazes are food-safe — or simply set it on a sideboard or coffee table as a decorative piece. It looks especially good against a white wall or tablecloth, where the colours really come forward.
