Large Floral Planter in Pink and White

At 40 cm in diameter, this is one of our larger cachepots — big enough to hold a serious plant or to stand alone as a floor piece. Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare shape it on the wheel and then paint the entire surface freehand, which at this size takes real patience and skill.

The upper half has a soft rose-pink background covered with a garland of flowers — blue and white daisies, small yellow blossoms, purple wildflowers, and green leaves, all painted with loose, confident brushwork. A decorative scrollwork border in deeper burgundy runs along the neck. The lower half is white with thin pink stripes leading down to a solid pink base.

People use these on terraces, in entryways, or as a statement piece in a living room. The ceramic is heavy and sturdy, so it sits well on the floor. It also works beautifully on a covered patio with a large fern or trailing plant inside.

Like all our pieces, this cachepot is made with food-safe glazes fired at high temperature. The colours are bright but not harsh — they have that soft, slightly washed quality that comes from the traditional Vietri enamels. Every piece will have small differences in the flower shapes and colours, because every piece is someone's individual work.
