Ceramic Appetiser Serving Set
A ceramic appetiser set with six wedge dishes and a centre bowl on a round base. Hand-painted in blue and yellow with fruit motifs.
We use this for what we call a cena fredda — a cold supper — or really any time you want to lay out antipasti properly. The set consists of a large round base plate with six wedge-shaped dishes arranged around an oval centre bowl. Everything lifts out, so you can fill each section separately and then bring it all together on the platter.
The decoration is bold: a deep cobalt blue background with hand-painted fruit on a yellow border — lemons, grapes, apples, and green leaves. Each of the six wedge dishes carries the same fruit motif, and the centre bowl ties it all together. The yellow rim of the base plate frames the whole arrangement. Every detail is painted freehand by our artisans in Vietri sul Mare.
It's the kind of piece that makes a table look set for a proper occasion without much effort. Fill the sections with olives, cheeses, cured meats, marinated vegetables — whatever you like. The separate compartments keep flavours apart while the base holds everything in one place.
Handmade and hand-painted in Vietri sul Mare. The glazes are food-safe. Because each dish is painted individually, you'll notice small differences in the brushwork from one section to another, which is part of the handmade character.
