Praiano Landscape Wall Plate with Rim

Of all the plates we carry, this one might be the most personal. It shows Praiano — our town — painted from the hillside looking out over the sea. You can see the white houses with their terracotta roofs, the church with its blue majolica dome, the green terraces, and the coastline stretching toward the next headland. At the top, a branch of Amalfi lemons hangs over the scene. The word PRAIANO is written at the bottom.

Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare paint this view freehand, and each one captures the light and colours a little differently. The plate has a falda — a wide decorative rim — painted in golden yellow with a scrolling pattern. The whole piece is about 40 cm across, so it has enough room to hold the landscape with real detail.

People who have visited Praiano often buy this plate as a way to bring a piece of the coast home with them. It's also a meaningful gift for someone who loves this part of Italy. Hang it in a living room, a kitchen, or anywhere you want to be reminded of the sea.

Like everything we sell, this plate is handmade in small batches. The colours are hand-mixed, and no two plates are identical. Our family has run this shop since Don Mario opened it in 1960, and a view of our town has been in the collection for almost as long.
