Handpainted Solid Colour Plate

In Italian, piatto just means plate — and these are about as honest as a plate gets. Each one is shaped on the wheel by our artisans in Vietri sul Mare, glazed in a single colour, and left to speak for itself. The spiral of the wheel shows through the glaze, giving every plate a subtle swirl pattern from centre to rim. The edges have a gentle scalloped shape, soft and slightly irregular because they're formed by hand.

We carry these in a full range of colours: orange, red, cobalt blue, lilac, green, yellow, sky blue, and more. Because the colour is brushed on by hand rather than dipped or sprayed, you'll notice the tone is richer toward the edges and lighter near the centre. No two plates have exactly the same depth of colour.

Available in small, medium, and large sizes, they work well for everyday meals, as side plates, or mixed and matched across the table. The glossy finish is food-safe and easy to clean. A lot of people buy several colours and build their own set — the scalloped shape ties them all together even when the colours are different.
