Handpainted Sea Creature Plate

Small, round plates with scalloped edges, each one painted with a different sea creature from the waters off the Amalfi Coast. Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare shape them on the wheel and paint every detail freehand — each fish, octopus, shrimp, or squid is a little different from the next.

The featured plate shows a cheerful tropical-looking fish with purple, blue, and orange colouring, swimming among yellow seaweed on a teal-green background. Other plates in the set include: a fish with blue-green and red scales on a yellow background with purple coral, an octopus in purple on an orange ground, a shrimp or lobster in orange on a deep blue background, and a squid on a pink background with yellow seaweed. Each plate has its own colour world.

They're the right size for a side dish, an appetiser, or for olives and snacks with drinks. A lot of customers buy the full set and use them together — the sea theme and scalloped edge tie them together even though the colours are all different. They also look great hung on a kitchen wall.
