Wall Plate with Lemons and Yellow Border

We call this one the Blu Lemon piatto murale. It's 30 cm across and features a big bunch of lemons with their green leaves filling the centre of the plate, painted on a deep cobalt blue background with white scrolling details. What sets this design apart from our other lemon plates is the wide golden-yellow border with a repeating wave pattern that runs all around the rim.

The lemons are painted thick and full, overlapping each other in a natural cluster. You can see the variation in yellows — some almost green, some deep gold — just like real lemons at different stages on the branch. The leaves are painted in rich greens with visible veins, and tiny blue flourishes fill the spaces between.

It's a wall plate, designed to hang and be looked at. The combination of the blue centre and that warm yellow rim makes it pop on any wall — white, cream, even coloured. Customers put these in kitchens most often, but we've seen them in living rooms and covered terraces too.

Our artisans in Vietri sul Mare paint each plate individually. The lemon cluster will be a little different on each one, the border might have a slightly deeper or lighter yellow. These small variations are part of the charm of handmade Vietri ceramics.
