Green Baroque Table Lamp with Daisies

We make this lamp entirely by hand in Vietri sul Mare — the ceramic body is shaped on the wheel, painted freehand, and then fitted with wiring and a fabric shade. The body has an amphora shape with two graceful curved handles rising from the shoulders, and a round ceramic finial on top where the hardware connects.

The painting is what we call barocco verde con margherite — green baroque with daisies. You'll see a pale lavender-grey background covered in scrolling ornamental patterns in teal green and golden yellow. White daisies with yellow centres sit within the design, and the overall effect is layered and detailed without feeling heavy. The base, handles, and rim are finished in a warm ochre-yellow. The white pleated fabric shade is hand-sewn and included.

As a bedside lamp or on a console table in a living room, it gives off a warm, soft light through the shade. The ceramic base catches the light differently depending on the angle, because the glazes have depth to them. It's a piece that works equally well in a traditional Mediterranean interior or in a more contemporary space where it can stand out.

Every lamp we make is a little different in its brushwork and colour intensity. The shade is sewn in our workshop, so the complete piece comes ready to use.
